Computer
Technology |
Our
Computer Lab is situated next to the library. We have 32 computers
using Windows XP, a B/W laser printer, a colour laser printer, a Windows
2003 File Server, a DVD recorder and an LCD projector.
We have Internet access throughout the computer room, library,
office, staff room and all the classrooms. Students and staff are able
to access their own folders and files on the school network. |

New
Computers
In May, 2008 we received some new
computers from the DET.
All the computers in our Computer Lab are now IBM or
Lenovo and all have 17" flat screens.
We have headsets and microphones.
Our computer teacher is Mrs Sharpe.

Class 2/3B made stories with pictures using Kid Pix in

Kindergarten
Kindergarten classes are currently enjoying learning from the games in
"Millie's Maths House", "Sammy's Science House", "Bailey's Book House" and
"Trudy's Time and Place House". They will soon be learning about letters and
their sounds from playing games in "An Island Adventure". They also
will be accessing many
educational games on the Internet. |

Year 1 & Year 2 students
are learning how to type their name
in Kid Pix. They can change the Size, Font & Colour. They are learning
to use the drawing tools to make illustrations. They save their work in
their own folder on the school network. |

Senior
Classes research topics from KLA's using the Internet. They are able to
present information using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Publisher and
Excel. We also provide many educational games to improve spelling,
mathematics, science, HSIE and logical thinking.

Students from Years 3 to 6 have been writing
Narratives
and presenting them in a
PowerPoint
slide show.
They include Clip Art, Animations, Music and Sounds.
The students also read their stories onto the slide show
using a microphone. |

learnt about Australian Aborigines in H.S.I.E.
They
made boomerangs with beautiful designs.
They also designed some Aboriginal Art.
