This is our
school's annual major fundraiser.
Family Fun Day
is again fast approaching and the Fun Day Committee has been meeting to plan
the many events that go to make this day one of the most exciting days on
the school calendar.
For the new
members of the school community, Family Fun Day is our school’s major
fundraising event held each year in early June. Run by the NWPS P&C, this
day raises funds which are put towards improving school facilities,
purchasing equipment and supporting ongoing educational programs for the
children at Normanhurst West. Over the coming weeks you will find out more
about the day through the Family Fun Day Newsletter that will be attached to
the back of the School Newsletter.
To make this day
happen, though, we need the support of the whole school community. This can
be done in several ways. Today we are requesting assistance by way on Stall
Convenors. Below is a list of vacancies that we currently have. Early next
term we will be putting out notices to fill the stall rosters. Please keep
an eye out for this as well.
The stall
convenors will be responsible for the smooth operation of their stall. We
have over the years developed a pretty useful Event Manual that details all
the tasks and requirements of each stall. So being a stall convenor is
really just a matter of following a set of procedures that have been
developed well before. Some jobs are as simple as just meeting an outside
contractor at the beginning of the day and making sure they have everything
they need.

committee as soon as possible (a speedy reply will help us immensely).
